eDOT Solutions was formed in 2004, when an extensive study of the Goan rivers, loading jetties, barge traffic/congestion, communication systems, etc was carried out by the company. Subsequently, eDOT Solutions ‐ Software Division was formed and the first tracking system for the barge traffic in India was developed and implemented in the Goan Rivers. The eDOT software team has since developed various software solutions in the field of aviation, the hospitality industry and training programmes for various international clients.
The eDOT Solutions - Marine Division was registered with the Mormugao Port Trust(Goa)in early 2008 as authorised surveyors and accepted by the Mercantile Marine Department, which is the competent authority in Goa and a branch of the Director General of Shipping of India(DG Shipping).

The sole purpose of developing a marine division was restoration of credibility in the marine profession, especially where surveying and sampling of iron ore fines is concerned.
The team of eDOT Marine Division is largely responsible for spreading awareness about the dangers related to carriage of iron ore fines, salient features of the IMSBC Code, methods of testing and standards of sampling, amongst shippers, survey firms and laboratories. We have an independant laboratory that deals with Inspections and moisture analysis & provides the highest standard of service and integrity. Our laboratory is situated at Vasco-da-Gama with experienced and qualified personnel trained for Inspection and testing on latest state-of-the-art equipment. The analysis are carried out with complete transparency, highest level of integrity & expertise. The laboratory works 24hrs & 365 days a year.
